Val di Fassa is made up of 7 resorts, the most well known being Canazei, Campitello and Pozza di Fassa. They all surround the Sella Ronda, which is part of Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski area in Europe with 1,200km of piste. And it’s easy to access from all of the villages. The pink, jagged peaks of the Sella Massif, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, create a large variety of red runs, making the Dolomites perfect for intermediate skiers. Beginners will feel more than comfortable skiing here too, with many low-gradient, confidence-building runs and nursery slopes.Canazei has lots of Austrian-style après bars like the Stua dei Ladins and Montanara Bar, along with traditional restaurants such as the Kaiserstube. There are lots of good options on the mountain in general, serving pizzas, pasta and paninis as well as local mountain food, all at reasonable Italian prices.Other things you can get up to in Val di Fassa include ice skating, bowling and cross-country skiing.
