Kyrgyz-Kazakh Action Adventure - 14 to 28 July

Okay guys, here's a trip that will really blow your socks off! After last years success we are delighted to be running this exciting adventure again that will see you buzzing in a helicopter one minute and glacier trekking the next; white-water rafting in the morning and riding horses in the afternoon. Taking place in some of the most stunning mountain landscapes on earth, this itinerary is just perfect for anyone with an interest in the greater world but would like some activity as well.

Cost: £ 2185.00

Karakoram Adventure 26th July - 12th August

This totally unique itinerary takes you on a wonderful journey along the southern branch of the Old Silk Road. Starting in Kashgar where you will witness the famous Yakshmbe Bazaar – otherwise known as the Sunday Market – you will continue through the stunning mountains of northern Pakistan to the tranquil foothills of the Indian Himalayas. On a journey that traders, warriors, poets and pilgrims have been taking for millennia you will drive the famous Karakoram Highway – the eighth wonder of the world – through Hunza and the beautiful Fairy Meadows and on to Lahore. From here you will cross the border to the Sikh’s holy city of Amritsar, visit the Golden Temple and then head to Dharamsala to relax in the mellow forest clad mountains that the Tibetan refugees have come to call home. All in all this is a pretty amazing adventure with some fascinating culture to boot.
Cost: £ 2210.00

Ladakh Festival Tour - 24 Aug to 09 Sept

Sandwiched between the western Himalayas and the vast Tibetan Plateau, Ladakh is the highest, least populated and most inaccessible region of India. It is also among the most fascinating and beautiful. In our Ladakh Festival Tour we feel we have created a cracking itinerary and this autumn we will be running it for the fourth successive year. Incorporating a colourful festival and an exciting trek, this epic journey from the subcontinent’s busy plains through the forested foothills of the Himalayas and on to the Tibetan plateau, we believe it to be one of the best holidays we have to offer.
Cost: £ 2135.00

Silk Road Mountains & Towns - 25 Aug to 10 Sept

Spending ten days in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, staying in yurts with a wonderful eagle hunter musician and his family, the nomads of Son Kul and the shepherds of Tash Rabat – all of whom are great friends of ours – this is a trip that will really introduce you to the ways of mountain life on the Old Silk Road. In addition to this you can walk over a high mountain pass (or take the jeep that goes round), ride horses and camp beneath the stars. And that’s only in Kyrgyzstan. From here you will fly to see the fabled cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. For those of you that like to really get beneath a regions surface, rather than simply travel through it, this is the trip for you.

Thanks. Jonny Bealby

India in Slow Motion - 10 Nov to 25 Nov

One of our recent guests said about this trip, ‘For the first time in years, an hour feels like an hour, not the five minutes I normally get.’ India in Slow Motion is just that… a trip that will slow you down the gentle rhythms of nature, to the clock of the day, to the cycle of the farmer. Travelling a total distance of only 500kms, in open-topped vintage jeeps, this is a trip all about catching the subtle nuances of life: watching the girl pull water from the well; assisting a Gujjur milk his cow; learning how a buffalo helps to irrigates the land; playing a game of marbles with a group of children. It is also a trip into a world well away from the tourist trails, to a land beyond guidebooks and in places even maps. It is a journey to see and experience the soul of this magnificent country, to learn about the caste system, the agricultural way of life, the ancient crafts, the religious! routines. It short it is a journey into the heart of India to witness a life that has remained almost unchanged for hundreds of years. Only made possible through our friendships in the region as we escort you from one family to the next, this is a unique trip the like of which you will find nowhere else.
